The new Lincolnville Bandstand is scheduled for completion in time for the town's 200th birthday in June. The Bandstand is the long-time dream of the Lincolnville Band, a town band originally formed some 130 years ago. Several present members of the Band are direct descendents of that first band. The Bicentennial Bandstand, being erected in the town park at Norton's Pond in Lincolnville Center, will be available to other musical and performing groups throughout the summer season. Local architect John Silverio designed the Bandstand. Photograph of Lincolnville Town Band (possibly 1882)
