Lincolnville Timeline

1820-1830

Population is not available.

1820: The Town House is built by George Ulmer for $450.

1821: Schooner William is built at Ducktrap: 48 tons, 54 feet, Peleg Decrow owner and builder.

1821: Joshua Lamb builds the Meeting House in Lincolnville Center using lumber cut on his land. The church has box pews, which Lamb hopes to sell to local families. The building cost "not less than $10,000"; he does not recoup his expenses. The pews and original high pulpit remain intact today, and the building is on the National Register of Historic Places.
