Lincolnville Timeline

1870-1880

The population in 1870 is 1,900.

1870: A lime kiln served by a horse-drawn railway, a sawmill, shipyard, grist mill, tannery, brickyard and wharves for shipping are all in operation at Ducktrap.

All over town dams on small streams power mills which generally run seasonally. These include shingle mills, saw mills and grist mills.
