1870: A lime kiln served by a horse-drawn railway, a sawmill, shipyard,
grist mill, tannery, brickyard and wharves for shipping are all in
operation at Ducktrap.
All over town dams on small streams power mills which generally run
seasonally. These include shingle mills, saw mills and grist mills.
