The population in 1960 is 867.
SIXTEEN MEN SERVED IN THE VIETNAM WAR [started in 1966]
1963-1975: The Community Building is built over a span of twelve years
with mostly volunteer labor.
1965: The Beach Fire Station is built, and later named for Deputy
Chief Stanton Collemer.
1966: To relieve overcrowding, under an arrangement with Hope, Lincolnville
and Hope students in grades 1-4 attend Hope while grades 5-8 attend
Lincolnville.
